Step #3: Kiribati Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Membership
Effective 1st January 2025, the KCCI Act 2024 requires all businesses registering their names with MTCIC to also register as members of the Kiribati Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI). This membership must be completed prior to applying for an operational license with the Local Island Councils, ensuring formal recognition of the business as a KCCI member.
Required Information
Business Name Registration Certificate from MTCIC. Completed KCCI Membership Application Form. Payment of Membership Fees (fees must be paid before a certificate of membership is issued):
Micro Businesses: AU$75 Small Businesses: AU$150 Medium-Sized Businesses: AU$300 Large Businesses: AU$400 State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs): AU$600 Foreign Investment Businesses: AU$800 - Processing Time: 1 business day
